The amazing woman God gave me for a mother.

Her name is Mina... It's really Maximina...but nobody ever calls her that. I don't think she likes it too much. She was born in Costa Rica and is the 14th child out of 17. My grandma gave birth to 17 children and 14 lived past birth. How on earth my grandma survived being pregnant so many times is beyond me. I've been pregnant twice and was pretty uncomfortable both times. My grandma gave my mom the longest name ever.. Maximina Herardina del Socorro Madrigal Chavarria... My mom grew up very poor and didn't get to finish going to school since school was not a priority in those times. Staying home and helping around the house was. Everything my mom has been thru has made her the great mom she is. She's not selfish or mean. My mother has taken care of my sister, my brother and myself. She's worked hard for us to always have what we needed and if she could give us extra she would. My mom is better then most moms out there and I know this is true because in my 26 yrs of life I've come across people who have not so great moms or have not so great relationships with them. I'm very thankful God let me have her as my mom. She's wonderful, she's amazing and loving. She's everything my family needs and more. I love you mom with all my heart and I hope you have a awesome birthday today and wish you many more.

I'll take Amor for a hundred please...

What can you really say about it? Amor is love. Amor is amazing and tragic at times. It's give and take. If you love it let it go right? Amor comes with heartbreak or sometimes it can come with passion. Do you have amor for everyone? Sometimes people don't even have amor for themselves. You can quickly lose amor for someone from one day to another. Does amor really come from our hearts? I mean the human heart organ is rather ugly don't you think? People have had amor turn into hate, like they say "love is hate" probably one of my most favorite sayings. In our mind we each have our own idea of what amor really is. It brings pain and joy. Amor is something we all need.

First thing off the list....

CUPCAKES!!!! I fucking heart them!!!! On top of them being so delicious and yummy they are so fucking cute!! I hardly ever eat them. My cupcake obsession started a few years back around 2007. That year I went to a very popular tattoo convention in Long Beach, Ca. It was on the Queen Mary. My bff Judy who that day was given the name "La Barbie" and my amigo Moocher (Omar) and i decided to go and just check it out. Nobody had any intentions of actually getting a tattoo that day. I knew I wanted to start my sleeve of sweet stuff but I had yet to know what sweet stuff I wanted and who was going to tattoo it. As we walked around I saw the portfolio of a girl and asked if she would be willing to do a lollipop on my arm. She agreed and another artist from her shop showed me a cupcake he had drawn and it was love at first sight I had to get the cupcake. So what they heck I got both that day. I love the cupcake more though. I now have two cupcake tattoos thanks to that artist Jesse. I honestly would actually like to get a few more cupcake tattoos. Maybe some day. Till then I will get collect anything cupcake I can get my hands on.

After looking at cupcake pictures I now want some of these......mmmmmmmmm

The to blog about list...

These are some things I have been wanting to write about and since my thoughts usually pour into my head so fast I forget about them so I decided to make a reminder blog list.

I'm sure I will think of more things but for right now this is all that comes to mind. I probably won't be writing the blogs in this order either.

Hearts and thoughts,

They fade away... Yes if you love the kind of music I do then you would know what band sings that. Pearl Jam. The song just popped into my head as I sit here trying to watch "the secret life of a american teenager". Cheesy? Yes I know..anyways back to music I was telling my husband a few weeks back that it would be awesomeness if Rise Against and Rage against the Machine played a show together.

I've seen them both but never together.... Ooooooh I would love to see Tom from Rage again...he is one of the best guitarist ever. I still remember the day I got my first Rage cd. My brother Luis gave it to me. Turns out they will be playing a show together but not in Vegas =[ super sad face. The concert will be taking place in LA. I wish they would play a show in Vegas together!! Is there anyway I could request that? Probably not.

Since driving out to LA during one of our busy months ( the step kiddos will be here) doesn't seem possible. I will hope to see Weezer in August instead. They will be playing pool side at Red Rock. Hope the Muppets show up as their special guest..hehe..

The vitiligo & tattoos...

I've had vitiligo since I was 1. I don't ever actually remember seeing my skin without it. It's not as bad as most cases. But it has attacked my hands, knees and the top of my feet. If you look real close you can notice it's under my eye a lil and above my other eye a lil. I also had to listen to all the questions..." oh what happened? did you get burned?" " did you dip your fingers into boiling water?" "did your house burn down when you were lil and you got burned by the fire?" I use to feel like people would get grossed out by the vitiligo. If they knew anything about it they would know it's not contagious. Truth is not much can be done. I've seen skin specialist. Tried different creams and medicine..none have really helped. One helped once but the only way it would help was if I left the cream on too long and let it burn my skin, get a blister and be in pain for a good week. That was not fun to go thru in elementary. It's not life threatening. It does have to do with your nervous system but I won't die from it. Growing up with it just wasn't very pleasant.

Recently I saw online that a tattoo artist from another country tattooed a man with vitiligo. She tattooed a huge white spot under his neck with a color to match his original skin color. I wish I could have that done it would be awesome. Would some of the tattoo artists I know be willing to try it? I doubt it.. Well I haven't asked it just seems kinda hard to find the right tattoo ink to match my skin. Even if one was willing to try it there is still no telling how my skin would react to it. For the most part my skin has taken tattoo ink fairly well since I started collecting tattoos a few years back. I think part of the reason why I love collecting tattoos so much is because my skin has never been one solid color to begin with. It was always my mexican/costarican light tan and white vitiligo spots. So getting pretty colorful tattoos is a great thing. Maybe one day I can have something done to cover it up.
