Finally...
Yes FINALLY!!!!!!!!! I got a blogging app for my iPad! Took me 10 minutes to figure out how to use the dam thing but I got it! I can now sit on my bed and blog away! Right now I'm sitting on my bed listening to things explode and gun shots. Yes you guessed right the hubs is playing xbox live black ops to be exact. Most wives get bothered by this stuff. Personally as long as the kids are asleep and nobody needs anything then let him play away. It's actually rather funny to listen to him and the other adults play..yes true dorks is what they are. I love my true dork.
Rise Against
Second time seeing them live. They played with Bad Religion who I saw at Warped tour in summer of 07". It was a great show! Seeing Tim rock out the way he does and all his energy that he has is amazing! We had a reserved table at the Joint at the Hard Rock which was great because I usually get tired of standing. Once Rise Against came on the crowd got wild which was fun to see. After they preformed their last song I came out of the Joint sorta deaf thats always a good thing because that means the music was loud enough. It was a great night I got to see my old coworker, drink some beer, meet up with one of my favorite tattoo artist and got a SULLEN shirt he designed which by the way I totally love. I also got to finally meet one of my favorite radio DJ's. Now the count down to the next concert...DEFTONES...my 2 yr olds favorite band. Can't wait this will be my second time seeing them.
These are some of my favorite Rise Against and Bad Religion lyrics....
"Rock bottoms where we live"
"I don't love you anymore" is all I remember you telling me
Never have I felt so cold
But I've no more blood to bleed
'Cause my heart has been draining into the sea"
"I'm on the edge,
Get against the wall,
I'm so distracted,
I love to strike you,
Here's my confession,
You learned your lesson,
Stop me before I do it again"
Haircut...please!
I'm in need of one bad! I've been very good...and by that I mean I haven't dyed it or bleached it in almost a year come May. I don't want it short. I've had it short before but I never liked it. The only time I really enjoyed having short hair was the first time I cut it short. I went to Costa Rica with my mom to visit family and my whole life my father never ever wanted my hair short. It was always kept right above my butt. All my aunts on my dads side (the mexican side) always had long hair so since I was his only child he wanted me to keep it like them. It's funny because now I find myself being like that with my 2yr old. I dont want her to ever have short hair I want to keep her long tell she's old enough to decided on her own how she wants it. Well on this trip to Costa Rica he hadn't gone so when my aunt took me to the hair stylist I told her I wanted it short up to my shoulders and that's just what I got. I remember being so happy thinking yay I have short hair now no more having to worry about having to put it in ponytail! I kept it like that for a couple of years then in jr high I let it grow out and kept it long till my son was born. I cut it because I knew I would be so busy with him that I wouldnt have much time to style it plus at that time we lived in California. My hair hates humidity there is not much styling that can be done with that weather I would curl it and a hour later you couldnt even notice it. Once he was about 2 I let grow back out and in 8 yrs I've kept it long. I've been wanting bangs for a while but have been to chicken to go thru with it. Maybe this next time I get my hair cut I will just go for it ..maybe.
El fin de semana...
The weekend was good. I did my cleaning =) on Saturday. My friend Maria and her 2 girls came over. I swear she has some of the best girls ever! They are so sweet caring and well behaved. Her 17 yr old is more responsible then most adults and is one of the very few people I allow to babysit the 2 wonderful spawn I have. I actually feel safe leaving them with her. I made pozole for us to eat yum! Now if somebody would just teach me how to make Birria too. We all ate and sat and watched movies for a while it was great. Just a nice relaxing Saturday. I'm still adjusting to having weekends off. For the last 3 yrs at my old job I had Thursdays & Fridays off which aren't the greatest days off. Prior to working at that company I worked at another place were I was off Fridays & Saturdays. Still not the same as Saturday & Sundays which is pretty darn great.
On Sunday was our company picnic which I was a little worried about. I knew it was gonna be hot and that more then half of the company was gonna be there including the bosses (the lawyers). First of all I can handle heat (dry heat i dont do well with the humid heat) I live in Vegas duh! My problem was deciding what to wear. Should I wear a short sleeve shirt and be comfortable? Or should I suffer and wear a long sleeve? If you don't know me then your thinking wtf how hard is it to make the common sense choice of short sleeve cuz its hot. Well I have a half sleeve tattoo on my right arm so I wasn't sure how everybody was gonna react to that. I mean after all I come to work wearing long sleeve shirts and pants everyday very few people in the office actually know how tattooed I am. I decided to screw it and wear a short sleeve. Once I got there I felt much better when I saw some people from our other offices who had a few tattoos on their forearm and legs. All in all the picnic went smooth we ate, hung out for a bit and my 2yr old lil girl was given a ballon by the son of one of the lawyers (he's also 2) it was so cute. After our little park adventure we took the kids to see "Rio" which by the way is a good kids flim. We all liked it. This was our weekend. Thank God it was good.

The cube farm...
That sort of describes the office in a way. My desk is just behind the receptionist desk which works well because when it gets too busy im the only one who's allowed to help her with answering the phones and all the other great office work she sometimes needs help with. I sit here with my lil radio which I sometimes connect the AUX cable to so I can listen to the good stuff like Atreyu, Rise Against, and Weezer. It helps my blood flow better and prep me for every client appointment I have during the day. I have a family picture to my right which is a full family picture. By full I mean it includes my son from a previous relationship, my husbands son and daughter from a previous relationship and our daughter we have together. Just below that is the picture of the hubs and i at his company xmas party. Under that is the picture of a purple hippo which I colored. I love hippos and the hubs hates them. The face he makes when you even mention them is priceless! Always a good laugh. I also have a picture of a owl on that side that I also colored. We had a ground owl that lived in our backyard and my mom covered up his hole twice because she kept saying it was not a good sign. I loved it. It was so cool to see a actual owl in the backyard. To the left of me I have a drawing done by a tattoo artist that I would love to collect a piece from some day. In front of me is a picture of a painting I printed out done by another tattoo artist who's work I love as well..this is my cube..
